Well Janie has had an eventful weekend. She started throwing up quite a bit Friday night and it continued to Saturday morning. After talking to her pediatrician we went up to the ER so they could confirm there wasn’t a problem with her surgery. Poor Janie had to deal with a few X-rays and a second Upper GI, but all the test were normal. The doctors think it is either really bad reflux or a mild stomach bug. Now we are home and Janie seems to be recovering well after a day on Pedialyte (not her favorite food). All the doctors said it was better to be safe than sorry and we were able to get new images of the surgery site and confirm for ourselves that all is well.

Janie now has a new friend. Our next door neighbors, some of our best friends, just had their first child. Little Chloe Skye Gwen Findlay was born yesterday at 6 lbs. 13 oz, 20 inches. It is nice for our two families to be so close and have daughters so close together.

Janie slept for eight hours last night… ahh, sleep. Now if we could get those eight hours to be between 10 and 6 it would be a lot better than 1 and 9. The rest of the day has been pretty exciting since it was her two-month doctor’s visit. Here was the rundown.
Length – 21.75 inches (75th percentile)
Weight – 8 lbs. 13.5 oz. (25th percentile)
Head Size – 14 inches (50th percentile)
She did great with her shots (four shots and one oral vaccine), and is quietly sleeping away the afternoon.
Hopefully this works. It should be a short (1:00) video of Janie and her rattle. I am still working on the format to get the best results.

Janie shook her rattle on her own for the first time today. She has been showing interest in the rattle sound for a week or so, and we started to put the rattle in her hand the other day. Tonight, when Janie was fussy, Amy put the rattle in her hand and she started to shake it. With a little coaching she continued to shake it and we caught it on tape. I’m still working on my XHTML work, so it may take a few days for me to get it online, but I’ll work on it.
