I have been a bad father and not kept up on the blog. The only excuse I can claim is spending too much time working on other web stuff and a shameless addiction to Facebook. I plan on rectifying this situation soon.
I finally got some pictures up from the finalization event. There aren’t many yet, but I figured I should get a few up.
As of yesterday Jane is now officially Jane Marjorie Ireland. At the Michigan Adoption Day festivities Jane was one of ten children finalizing their adoption in Washtenaw county. It was a nice ceremony and we were very relieved to have all the legal stuff behind us. I’ll be posting picts and video in the near future.
I know it has been a while, but I have finally put up some new pictures. The first set is from our recent trip to Petosky, Michigan. We try to go up there a couple of times a year, and this was Jane’s first out of town trip. Jane got to swim for the first time and took a walk on the beach. The second set are from Jane’s first Halloween. Jane was a pink fuzzy bunny and she had a fun time giving out candy.

Janie has spent the last week really getting to know her feet. She is spending a lot of time trying to get her feet up to her hands and this has led to a little balance problem. Right now she is able to roll onto her side, but not make it all the way to her stomach. I think she is a little scared of ending on her tummy, but it will happen soon.
Grammie Reeves is up here in Michigan for Janie’s Adoption party. As an added bonus, we took a family trip to the local apple orchard to go pumpkin picking. Our neighbors, Tammi and Alan, brought their daughter Chloe and we made a grand event out of it. Other than the weather being a little colder than the Indonesian norm that Grammie is used to, everyone had a grand time.
I’m sorry there haven’t been any post for a little bit. Work has been hectic for me and Amy isn’t quite up to speed on blogging yet. I hope to have the September pictures up this week, and maybe a couple of more short videos (depending on how long they take to recode). Janie is doing well, she is growing and really starting to babble… so I am getting my first taste of my daughter talking back to me. I am sure somewhere my mother is laughing and saying “I told you so.”
